Can I change my contract payment term?

We’re not able to change the contract term (3, 6 or 9 months) once it’s been selected.

However, you do have full control over how often you pay. You can make a payment every 7, 14, 21, or 30 days, whatever works best for your budget. Please see the app if you’re unsure of how much is due.

Why was my application declined multiple times?

While we don’t perform traditional credit checks, our system does review certain background information to help us make a responsible decision. In some cases, this may result in an application not being approved.

Please know that your information is updated regularly, and the outcome can change. We recommend trying again after 31 days and we truly hope it’s successful next time around!

Can I request a payment extension?

Our team would be happy to assist you with your request.

Can PayJoy blacklist me?

At PayJoy, our goal is to help you build a positive payment history. We report both on-time and missed payments, so keeping up with your agreement can help strengthen your financial record.

If an agreement isn’t completed, we are required to report that too.

Can I use my phone out of country?

Yes, you can use your PayJoy phone outside of South Africa, just make sure your payments stay up to date as usual.

Please note that PayJoy doesn’t provide data or airtime, so you’ll need a roaming or international data package from your mobile network provider to stay connected while travelling.

Does Payjoy offer Insurance?

PayJoy doesn’t currently offer insurance on devices. If you’d like to insure your phone, we recommend reaching out to a trusted third-party provider.

Can I cancel & return my device?

Yes, you can cancel and return your device.

Step 1 : Please contact customer care via WhatsApp on 079 803 6072 regarding cancellation

Step 2 : Return PayJoy device to the store which it was purchased from, the following conditions need to be met:

Device should be in working condition, no scratches or dents

All personal accounts (Gmail accounts) and passwords must be removed

Device box needs to be included, with all accessories in the box, if any accessories are missing and if there is no box the cancellation cannot be done
